What Will You Do

The role of the Technical Assistant – Structural Engineer is to report to the Team Leader and supports the Site Engineer. The Technical Assistant – Structural Engineer ensures that the design and built contract works are consistent with the employer’s requirements and specifications. His/her duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

• Carries out the role of a Delegated Representative, operating within the role of the Engineer / Consultant for Design & Build construction contracts
• Review Contractor’s Documents related to Civil and structural design works, pile fabrication, deck-on-pile concrete design, and other port-related ancillary design works.
• Manage the implementation of the Contractor’s systems of work, including quality, safety, design, method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, etc.
• Assist site engineers in reviewing proposed material for the works.
• Assist/supervise pre-cast fabrication works, concrete works, review deliverables, and quality checks.
• Cover other disciplines when working on shifts when necessary.
• Prepare reports and assessments of all structural and port-related works, including site inspections.
• Inputs on the daily diary, and weekly and monthly construction management reports.
• Observed non-conformances to the design, workmanship, safety issues, and any other relevant activities during the execution of the works which may lead to future claims.
• Supports the Team Leader and Site Engineer during meetings when necessary.
• Promotes an inclusive and positive environment for the team.

Where you will work

• You will work based in Kalibaru Project, North Jakarta, Indonesia.

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural engineering with m inimum of 10 years of work experience or A Master’s degree in Structural or related course with minimum of 5 years of work experience.
• Experience in FIDIC Conditions of Contract is an advantage.
• Well-versed in modern structural design software ideally.
• Efficient in MS Office suite including Teams and SharePoint.
• The role is open to Indonesian citizens only.
• Ideally not more than 38 years old.
