Job Description

KfW plans to make EUR 2.5 billion available for infrastructure measures in Indonesian cities over the next few years under the Indonesia-German Green Infrastructure (GII) Initiative. CDM Smith is supporting Indonesia in expanding its infrastructure in a climate-friendly and future-oriented way. Commissioned by the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), CDM Smith is identifying in cooperation with SMEC Denka bankable projects in the areas of urban mobility, water/wastewater and waste management. As part of the preparatory works under the GII our team is currently preparing up to 18 Pre-Feasibility Studies. In light of expected future upcoming requests for services, CDM Smith is looking for qualified experts to develop approved projects further at feasibility level.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications and skills:

• University degree in civil engineering or related subjects
• Proven negotiation and moderation skills with senior decision makers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Fluent in English, Bahasa knowledge is an advantage

General Professional Experience

• A minimum of 15 years working experience in the SWM/WWM or Public Transport sector

Management experience

Specific Professional Experience

• Demonstrated expertise in solid waste management, water and wastewater or urban public transport covering all major issues
• Experience in assessment of environmental and social impacts
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a team leader
• Working experience in developing countries
• Working experience in preparation of Feasibility Studies for infrastructure projects (preferably KfW, ADB, WB)
• Regional experience in Indonesia or South-East Asia

Background Check and Drug Testing Information

CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.
